True Succulents is a family owned specialty succulent nursery founded by brothers Chez and Vanni. Based in Maryland, we specialize in hard to find, unusual, imported and original succulents, with a particular love for Echeveria.

What began nearly ten years ago as a shared passion for plants has grown into a nursery dedicated to growing, collecting, propagating, and creating exceptional succulents for collectors across the country.

We've traveled to nurseries, growers, and hybridizers throughout South Korea, California, Florida, Pennsylvania, and beyond to learn firsthand how others approach cultivation, propagation, greenhouse production, and breeding in order to better cultivate plants here at our own nursery.

We're now beginning a new chapter in our 5,000-square-foot Korean-style greenhouse, purpose-built for professional succulent production.

This new space will allow us to grow more of our plants in-house, expand propagation, and dramatically increase the breeding and selection work already underway here at the nursery.

Our Goal

We want to help grow the succulent industry here in the United States by introducing collectors to unusual plants, producing more varieties domestically, preserving important species and genetics, and developing new hybrids of our own.

Nearly ten years in, we're still learning, experimenting, and getting excited about what comes next.

True Succulents has changed tremendously since we started, but at its heart it's still two brothers who genuinely love plants.
